To begin with, it comes in dark beige, natural, brown, and black. Also, it is available in a range of sizes. Next, the gambeson secures onto the body with straps in the front. It features vertical stitching along the torso. The stitching is angled near the short collar. Along the edges of the arm holes, there are eyelets. These eyelets allow the gambeson to attach to other pieces of armour, not included. In addition, there is a slit at the hem on the back. This hem helps with greater mobility. Nice thick weighty material. Very grateful for the sleeveless option as it’s way too hot here to be fully covered up. Haven’t tried it under armor (yet). A little tight around the neck, but I do have a large neck

Purchased the X-Large version (I am nearly 6′ and roughly 245lbs for reference) and was worried I had bought too large. Turns out, i nearly didn’t buy large enough! The neck and collar are somewhat tight, but it’s the arm holes that gave me the most trouble. After needing the better part of a minute to get my arms and undershirt through, I was very glad I purchased the sleeveless version, otherwise it would’ve been even more difficult. Once it’s on, everything is comfortable and snug enough to not shift, and the padding is nice and thick. The bottom of this gambeson reaches to nearly 11″ past my waist. The deep brown fabric makes the leather look more like a highlight than another material. The straps, buckles, and neck all look wonderful once secured, and the detachable arms will be a lifesaver at those 80+ degree faires out in the sun (once i get around to actually buying them, that is. It’s August, much too hot for them now). Can’t wait to see how it feels with my chainmail over it!
