This is 100% just for light reenactment. The padding is very light and is really just for show. It looks and feels really good but it will not take a hit really.

Bought this for use under my Mytholon Dragomir armor and it works pretty well for that! A little thin, so I can definitely feel the armor on my shoulders after a while, but that is probably just the armor’s fit mostly. The thinness also help in it being pretty light and comfortable from a heat perspective. Definitely stiff from the box, but I’m sure it’ll loosen up over time. Also, if you have more sensitive skin, I’d advise a scarf or neck wrap of some sort as the neck fabric wore a bit of a rash into my neck after 4 hours.

Honestly a very solid gambeson. I’ve definitely seen thicker, but it provided the perfect amount of padding for a long day in plate armor.
