The pants come with two hip pockets, a button fly (the buttons are hidden), and button closure, in addition to the drawstring tie closure in front. Unlike other pirate/ren pants, these are tailored straight-through, meaning there is no baggy fit in the seat. The rise is high/normal so guys with long legs should find these to be a perfect fit. I have short legs and a belly so to get a fit around my waist made the pants too long and brought the crotch to about mid-thigh; a recipe for a split crotch seam. The material is light/middle weight (if you hold them up to the light, you can see through them) but since it’s a weave maybe the cotton will expand after the first wash. The upside to the lightweight is that the black color will be comfortable in warmer temperatures. The pants are made in India, so the looser weave makes sense. Still, they didn’t fit my body so I have to send them back, but for normal guys they should be ok.
