the helm is just barely sca passable it is just covers 3/4 of an inch past the chin and jaw line Sca rules state the the helm much extend no less than an inch pas the jaw line to protect the neck and throat .I would suggest to any one buying this helm to get a bevor as well .

Works great! I got one that was way to big because i wanted to put it over a mask i made. Big mistake. The big one is BIG!

I’m no armor expert, but this helmet works well for wearing and decoration in my opinion.

I was hesitant going into this purchase thinking the sallet was too big for my head, but it actually fits great – even better with an arming cap. (For context, my head circumference is 22 inches measured by my forehead).

All around, the helmet is pretty solid and sturdy. It is also adjustable and completely lined with leather on the inside (except for the visor). The 14 ga steel construction is a plus. Most importantly, the sallet came in oiled up and spotless.

I’ll definitely buy from GDFB and MedievalCollectibles again.
