I can only say that this piece was a disappointment… The reason being that the leather straps are unacceptably small. The armor itself seems to exhibit good craftsmanship, but what good is that craftsmanship if I can’t fit the straps around my 3 inch wide twig of an arm, even without gambeson underneath? It fits fine at the wrist, but wont reach around the inner elbow or the upper arm, unless you were to add a few more inches to the straps. If you order this piece, please make sure you call the manufacturers prior to shipment and request leather straps that will actually fit around your arm.

These are my first full arm guards so take take this review with the appropriate amount of salt. The steel and leather craftsmanship is excellent and looks as if it’ll last under some decent punishment. However, it does come at a price, as it’ll restrict your elbow movement to about 90 degrees, making it difficult/impossible to scratch your nose, let alone control a blade.
All in all, looks good, will do in a pinch, but probably want to take a better look at your options.
