Inspired by Scottish Warriors
Inspired by the freedom fighters of medieval Scottish history, this claymore sword transports you to the world of castles, swords, and epic battles. Known in Scottish Gaelic as “claidheamh mòr” (meaning large sword), this formidable weapon represents the pinnacle of Scottish swords.
Forged as one piece from EN45 high-carbon steel, this two-handed claymore sword is an intimidating presence on the battlefield. Carbon steel is renowned for its strength and durability.
This Scottish claymore sword is meant to be wielded with two hands for maximum power and control.
Starting with the unsharpened double-edged blade, it has a wide fuller from the forte down to the terzo. The forte is the shorter, stronger side of the blade, and the terzo is the middle. The angled steel crossguard ends in quatrefoil quillons reminiscent of historical claymore swords.
The langets on the crossguard extend over the fuller. The rest of the handle is brown hardwood. The peened nut-shaped pommel, featuring a crescent-shaped nut design, at the bottom keeps your grip from slipping off the blade.
While the average claymore ran between 55 and 60 inches in length, this authentic recreation captures the essence of these legendary Scottish swords.
The Claymore Sword: A Tribute to Medieval Warfare
