Brave and cunning warriors such as yourself know the importance of wearing padding under your armour. You wear the Medieval Gambeson. Made from padded cotton canvas, this medieval arming wear comes in two sizes. It fastens with buckles and brown straps in the front. In addition, it has cutouts underneath the armpits, which adds mobility and ventilation. Also, the black arming jacket has long sleeves and a short collar. The vertically quilted design helps to protect the wearer from pinching when worn underneath steel armor, sold separately. It ends at the thighs. The medieval arming coat is a great addition to your LARP outfit or reenactment ensemble. You can wear this knights gambeson to a Renaissance faire or cosplay event.

This fits great, made of solid material and honestly better quality than expected. I’m 5’9”, 190 pounds, medium build and the large size gambeson fits perfectly. Got this to wear under my chainmail I’ve been weaving. The Gambeson has some weight to it and is warm…might be rough to wear in summer, but that’s just the way it was back in the day! Great product.

I had originally planned to use this for LARP combat. I got the matching mantle and arming cap. It is made of stiff and heavy material. I think I’m going to use a lighter gambeson for LARP and keep this one to wear with a breastplate.
