Leather Japanese Mempo

A mempo, or menpo, was a piece of Japanese armor that was designed to cover and protect the face. The Leather Japanese Mempo recreates its design in quality leather so that you can armor yourself as the legendary Samurai once did. Historically, there were many types of mempo, ranging from those that covered the whole face to ones that offered partial coverage. This style of leather mempo covers the lower face, from the nose to the chin. It also features slits in the front, to allow for easy breathing when worn. It is secured via ties that wrap around the back of the head.
