Made from cotton canvas, this Renaissance jacket comes in two colors and a range of sizes. It has a V-shaped neckline. Also, the doublet fastens down the front with four brass clasps. The clasps add a decorative touch as well. Just below the last clasp, the doublet features a horizontal seam, creating a waist on the doublet. Next, the doublet features rounded cap sleeves. Contrasting cord spirals around the cap sleeves. On the inside, the doublet has a light-colored lining. Good look and great quality. Sizing is pretty spot on. The blue is a tad darker than the photos show, but I like it. To me it has a “richer” hue the the fairly light blue shown (more like Navy blue). Again, the metal clasps are a great touch. Medieval Collectables outdid themselves with great customer service when I called with some questions, and they shipped this so quickly I had to actually look up my purchase date just to verify the order (it took 3 days from notification of order completion to my doorstep). And I paid for just regular shipping, not expedited. Great job.

I cannot be happier with this vest, it has held up well after several LARP events. It’s made of a sturdy canvas and looks great, and as with the other review here, the blue is a bit darker than the picture, but I enjoy the color greatly. I wear a XL shirts in most cases, but I ordered the XXL and this is still snug on me when I clasp it. I tend to just wear it unclasped at this point, but I still recommend you order a size up.
