It is cylindrical with a flat top. At the top, there is a band of steel with a wavy bottom edge. Rivets secure it in place. There is another band that wraps around the face just above the eyes. In front, the helmet has a brass cross with fleur-de-lis ends. The cross has two slots for the eyes. Below the arms of the cross, there are vertical slots for ventilation. The front of the helmet is longer than the back. On the inside, there is a lining and chin strap. You can wear this medieval helmet to your next LARP battle or roleplaying event. The Flat Top Crusader Helmet looks great on many warriors.

This helmet is an affordable and well-made piece of armor. It is not extremely ornate, but it is made of steel and is a bit hefty at nearly 7 pounds. The ventilation is good and while the field of vision is limited (for obvious reasons), you can still see pretty well. It has a liner inside that helmets adjust how high the helmet is on your head, which is extremely helpful. Overall, very happy with the product.

An affordable, stylish crusader helm. Great ventilation, adjustable liner, and durable steel. I haven’t used it in anything intense, but it holds up great for costumes. I make sure to wear a chainmail coif, and adding on a padded coif, and I’ve adjust the liner to fit correctly. There’s dents and scratches, but I don’t mind. I keep it clean with wax and steel polish.

The helm is affordable, imposing, and, for the most inexpensive of the greathelms available, it’s one of the widest. The lower than average price opens the possibility of buying multiples and painting them for different costumes.
The liner is only glued inside, so half of it peeled away from the metal when I hung it through the hilt of my sheathed sword when not worn. It’s nothing a modification with a drill and some rivets cannot correct however.
