Forged by hand from 18-gauge mild steel, this backplate is part of the Edward set from Mytholon. Featuring an authentic design, adjustable fit, and a heavily armoured aesthetic, the Edward backplate is a great fit for your armour. The 18-gauge mild steel construction is well-suited for LARP combat, costuming, and light sparring. Please note this back armour comes coated in oil to protect it from rust. This backplate is best paired with the Edward Blackened Breastplate (MY102115). Please note the breastplate is sold separately.

The top of the backplate has a concave section. There are multiple straps located at the top. The two buckled straps facing opposite directions are for securing the Edward spaulders or other pauldrons with a buckle. The two straps attached in the front, the two without buckles, are for securing the breastplate over your shoulders and chest. Each side has rounded edges and a concave arm section to make it easier to move in.

Further down, there is an angled point with a riveted border on the plackart. Two more buckles closer to the waist are for securing the lower straps of the breastplate. At the bottom, there is an angled plate with riveted edges. This plate is similar to a fauld. From the top to the bottom, this steel fantasy backplate boasts a blackened finish with silver trim for magnificent contrast and style.

• This armour will arrive to you covered in protective oil. While this oil can be removed, it must be replaced with another protective maintenance product to protect your steel armour from rusting. Occasional oiling is necessary for the proper maintenance of this armour. When storing this armour, protect it from oxidation by coating it with machine oil.
