This cloak is warm and comfy to wear, but I wouldn’t wear it on a very hot day. The hood could use a little altering- it is a bit too pointy and large.

It’s a dang cozy wool cloak. My only issue is that I’m uncommonly large at the shoulders but that’s just me. It will keep you warm in the cold and dry in the rain.

I ordered this on a whim. I go shooting with a buddy of mine a lot on my family’s apple orchard. We especially enjoy target shooting in the winter, which gets pretty cold here in upstate NY. I was skeptical that the cloak would really add any warmth to my kit, but man, this thing was great. I used it in the field for the first time today, 30 degrees F, minus 4 or 5 degrees accounting for windchill, and I was very happily surprised to find that this cloak kept me comfortable. Overall the construction is solid. I stand 6′ 2″ barefooted, and the cloak hangs just below mid-calf level. The hood is large, (I was easily able to fit it over a military helmet), and the cloak itself is well large enough to wrap around me. I ordered the grey cloak, which helps attract the sun’s light, which is a great benefit outdoors in cold climates. The cloak is heavy when held, but when worn the weight feels negligible. My only concern with the cloak is that the neck is sewn together, rather than having a button or ties. If you take the cloak off or put it on quickly and it gets snagged, I can imagine the stitching would separate. Simply take care when putting it on/taking it off and it won’t be an issue. Overall great purchase, my buddy was cold and jealous. Would efinitely recommend.
