The Steel Crusader Great Helm provides the utmost in protective and historic headgear. This angular helmet is fully enclosed with no hinged front piece. Two slits on the front provide sight while the wearer remains safe within. This helmet is made up of several 16 gauge steel segments riveted together while the top plate is made out of 14 gauge steel. The angled construction and narrow eye holes make this helmet a fearsome sight in any battle, and a subtle cross shape adorns the front. Small holes on the lower front half provide ventilation. Due to its handcrafted construction, the steel thickness may feature slight variations.

An excellent starting great helmet, this one looks like it’s based off of the Dargen helm. It is incredibly stout and well made. I would argue it’s probably THE BEST great helm you can buy without commissions

I’ve got 3 other great helms and this one fits the best. This is an excellent helmet! I’m 5’9″ 180 and it is a good fit. My nose is not pressed against the front like on my other helmets. Plus, I can put it on and take it off easy. The padding inside was a perfect fit for me and my eyes see right out the slits without any adjusting. It comes with chin straps , but I velcroed mine up inside unless I need them. There isn’t a lot of extra room in the helm. So, other than wearing a thin heat gear balaclava, you probably won’t get a thick padded arming cap under there unless it’s thin padding.
