The Small Steel Elias Spaulders are the ideal choice for your next LARP battle, as they provide protection without inhibiting your range of motion. The shoulder armour possesses a bright metal finish that goes well with knight ensembles. The steel spaulders can be affixed to neck armour like the Steel Elias Gorget (MY100056) by buckled straps. Create an entire set of Elias warrior armour by pairing this small shoulder protection with other pieces of plate body armour that we offer. We recommend wearing a gambeson or other padded arming wear with these metal spaulders for increased comfort. Please note that this item must be worn with a gorget.

Please be aware that this armour is handmade, and it can be thicker than listed here. As such, it is intended mainly for costuming, light reenactment, and LARP.

When purchasing armour pieces, in order for the pieces to be compatible, it is best to stay within the brand.

  1. Mark M.

These spaulders are anything but ‘small’, only in that the lower arm canon is not included as are on the ‘large’ version. They connect very well to either the ‘Elias’ gorget or the ‘Gustav’ gorget, and are very easy to move in. Only problem is the under-arm strap that goes around the bicep sits right in the armpit. Wearing them over chainmail is very uncomfortable with this strap in place. One might be better off to just not use the bicep straps, or cut them off entirely. Overall, a good pair of spaulders…just not so good for ME. Also, when wearing these with the gorget, you kinda look like you’re ready to play ‘Medieval football’. Ha! …Mark M.
