At a Viking tomb in Skjoldehamn, a region in northern Norway, a complete outfit was found during an archaeological dig. The most famous part of this outfit, the iconic cowl, has been reproduced in the Skjoldehamn Herringbone Gugel. This heavy wool-blend cowl sits comfortably on the shoulders, and its square-shaped brim ends with one corner in the center of the chest.

The pointed hood is almost entirely without a tail, and it covers the head nicely, ensuring warmth in cold weather. The Skjoldehamn Herringbone Gugel features a grey herringbone pattern, which comes in olive, burgundy, or black. It also comes in two sizes. This product is an excellent piece of winter wear that matches a large variety of medieval clothing.
