I purchased this last-minute for a Renaissance faire costume, and it shipped in time. The item came with a grey handle unlike the black handle described on the website…I actually preferred this, so it was a lucky mistake. It worked perfectly for my costume, but the nickel finish on the hilt has already started to flake off. At this price though, I can’t really complain.

I loved the way this looked in the picture and I’m happy to report that it is even better in person! I thought the hilt might be a black cord-like material of some sort, but it is a beautiful dark gray wood in daylight. It has held up to my inexperienced swinging so far.

Really well made and quality is nice especially for a 40-50+ dollar sword, i‘m 5’9 and it stands to be a little bit more above my stomach. I highly suggest buying this sword if you are on a budget :)!
