A Tribute to the Empire

Crafted from leather, this battle skirt is inspired by armor belts called pteruges from Antiquity. Pteruges are a style of skirt armor designed to cover the thighs and hips worn by most Greek and Roman warriors. It’s perfect for LARP combat, costuming, and achieving a Roman-inspired look.

At the top, the pteruges have a black belt with adjustable straps. This belt wraps around your waist and secures with two adjustable buckles on the sides of your waist for a highly adjustable fit. This Roman soldier belt also comes in a variety of sizes, making everyone feel like they belong in Antiquity. This belt has brass rivets for added detail and structure.

In the front are nine hanging strips of black leather that end in detailed accents. These strips cover the front of your thighs down to your knees with flexible protection and without sacrificing your mobility. Each strip has a layered design. The angled, black leather patches are riveted to the strips and add another layer of detail. The brown patches are shaped like upside down shields and also have brass rivets for structure and detail. There are more strips in the front than in the back for an asymmetrical style while leaving your sides open for greater mobility.

Care Instructions:

• Remove dirt with a hard brush, then gently clean with leather soap and a soft, damp cloth. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth, then use a dry cloth to wipe away remaining water. Let dry naturally. Condition with oil or polish, then wipe with a final cloth to remove excess residue.
