Practical Plus Katana

Made from 1566 high-carbon steel, this functional samurai sword has a curved blade, typical of Japanese swords. It is great for cutting targets with its differentially hardened construction.

Also, the blade features a visible temper-line. The sword has a brass blade collar before the black iron tsuba. The tsuba depicts a cutout sunburst design.

Then, the hilt continues with a wrapped handle. Black cotton wraps around the cream-colored ray-skin grip. Two pegs secure the handle onto the tang. A Japanese dogwood motif adorns the fittings, while the menuki looks like a dragon.

Finally, this sword comes with a black lacquered scabbard. The scabbard features a black cord wrapping, or sageo, at the top. This Japanese katana is ideal for wielding at a reenactment or sword practice. Also, you can add it to any sword collection.
