Iconic Conquistador Design

Forged from mild steel, this morrion takes inspiration from the legendary Tercios and Conquistadors of Spain. The entire helmet has been blued to protect it from rust and lend it an antiqued finish. At the top, this LARP morrion has a comb-like crest from the front to the back. This helmet comes in size large.

At the back, there is a plume holder. You can insert feather plumes into this holder. It has been riveted to the helmet’s skull on each side and has medieval cinquefoil accents. When worn, this plume holder should be at the back. True to its historical inspiration, the Spanish helmet has a wide, contoured brim designed to deflect enemy attacks from the top. The brim tapers up slightly in front and in the back. Lining the base of the skull are more steel rivets.

Inside this medieval Conquistador helmet is a leather chin strap and cotton padding. The natural cotton padding is firmly attached to the inside of the helmet and cannot be removed. While it is not removable, you can adjust the padding thanks to a leather cord tied through it. You can wear it without your arming cap or supplement it with your own padding before battle. On each side, the leather straps are attached to cheek plates with circular vents. The leather strap has prepunched holes for adjustability and a notched brass frame for extra detail.
