Iconic Renaissance Design

Crafted from EVA foam, this iconic zweihander is inspired by the greatswords of late medieval warfare. It’s coated in a layer of latex for longevity. A fiberglass rod core in the center makes it a strong and flexible weapon.

Starting with the double-edged, silvery blade, it’s straightened until you get to the forte. The forte is the shorter, stronger side of the blade. Just beneath the forte, two recurved parrying hooks painted with a weathered effect keep your grip from slipping onto the blade and are excellent for deflecting enemy weapons. The red ricasso, located in between the parrying hooks and the crossguard, is flattened to accommodate a modified grip for increased control over the blade.

Moving down this Doppelsoldner sword, the wide, weathered golden crossguard has two layers to the design. The inner crossguard curls toward the ricasso. Both layers of the crossguard share leaf-shaped ends and grooves ending in a swirl on both sides. This LARP greatsword has two ring guards on either side. Those ring guards have hollow-cutout designs for extra style and detail.

The long, spiraled grip is colored red. These spirals conform to your grip and give you an ergonomic hold. The notched pommel is also painted gold with a weathered effect.

Care Instructions:

• Latex weapons do need to be maintained to a certain degree. We offer a 100 ml LARP Protection Gel Silicone (MCI-3722) in our LARP Accessories section. We recommend you use the silicone on a regular basis. The silicone will keep the coating flexible and increases the lifetime of the shield. It also prevents the coating from drying out and improves resistance to wear and tear.
