Warriors heading into battle know that they must protect their torso from the enemy. They wear the Infantry Milanese Chestplate. Made from 16 gauge mild steel, this battle-ready chest plate secures onto the body with leather straps at the shoulders. It has a rounded neckline and cutouts for the arms. The chestplate features a plackart. A plackart is a reinforcing plate that protects the lower half of a torso. Rivets secure the plackart to the main plate. The top edge of the plackart curves into a point at the center of the chest. Two ridges on the upper chest form an X-shape with the top edge of the plackart. There are two ridges along the arm holes. At the bottom of the chest plate, there are three overlapping faulds. The plate closest to the chest plate is the bottommost plate. Add the Infantry Milanese Chestplate to your medieval ensemble, especially for a historical reenactment.
Please note that steel thickness may vary slightly due to the handcrafted methods used in the manufacture of this item.
