Create a suit of armour befitting a German knight from the 15th century by including the Gothic Sallet Helmet. The descendent of the Italian bascinet, this war helmet became the preferred choice of armour for over a hundred years. Inspired by the classic gothic style, the sallet features fluting and ridge work that enhances the look and strength of the armour. A rounded top with raised centerline further increases the defensive power. The bellows visor swivels up and down for easy adjustment, and possesses cutouts for ventilation. Metal lames form a lobster neck-plate in the back. Foam padding lines the interior, while an adjustable buckle strap secures the helmet at the chin. A polished steel finish creates the knight in shining armour look.
Please be aware that these items are handmade. Slight deviations in pattern, color, and shape may occur.
To properly maintain your steel armour, always keep the metal pieces away from water and lightly oiled to prevent rusting. Occasionally clean the armour with metal polish and re-oil them. Leather care products must be used to maintain the leather fittings as well.

A great price for a great helm. Comfortable right out of the box (after wiping off the oil). I gave it 4 stars on quality because the rivets are not of the best caliber, but a little work on my part and it finished up beautifully.

This Sallet is fantastic! It fits perfectly, has a great look, and is a great price! The visor snaps into the closed position via two studs giving it a sturdy, and reliable feel. I absolutely love it. My order also arrived very quickly witch is a plus for sure! For the money you would be hard pressed to find a better helmet!

Amazing look and feel. Unfortunately it will not work with Epic Armoury’s bevor (I can still wear it with my kettle helm but really wish they’d make a bevor compatible for this helm. Visor ends around the chin, so you’ll need some kind of neck covering. I love the articulation of the lobster tail back. If the visor feels a bit loose or doesn’t stay up, I recommend getting a pair of pliers and a wrench and tighten up the visor bolts a bit. I had this problem but after a bit of tightening, managed to get a snug but smooth fitting visor.

This is a very nice sallet, but it does not work with the Steel Imperial Bevor MCI-3084 which is also from Epic Armory. The helmet is too narrow for the bevor to fit inside of it. Not sure why Epic Armory makes both a bevor and sallet that are incompatible with one another.
