One of the weapons wielded by the famous Landsknechte mercenaries was a large sword like the German Landsknechte Flamberge Sword. Made from 1095 high-carbon steel, this functional sword features a tempered, double-edged blade. It has wavy edges, typical of flamberge-style swords. Based on a piece in private collection, this sword features a leather-wrapped section between the blade and the crossguard. This section has two small blades on the sides. Next, the iron crossguard ends in curls. The hilt has a two-handed wooden grip. There is a black section in the middle of the hilt. The hilt ends with a matching scent stopper-style pommel. This sword works well at historical reenactments.

Totally massive sword, always an eye catcher.

The Sword was amazingly crafted, but a shipping issue caused a bit of damage to the sword (At least that’s what I’m assuming happened.) When I saw the delivery man stop in front of my house I saw that the sword had apparently punctured the box it was being shipped in. I didn’t think much of it at first until I saw that the tip of the blade had apparently been smashed a bit from apparent impact on something. It wasn’t badly damaged, just enough to take the sharp point off the very tip of the blade. Other than that the item arrived in great condition.
