You wish to fight your enemies as a true and mighty Viking. With the Danelagh Viking Sword in hand, you are a force to be reckoned with. Made from EN45 high-carbon steel, this functional Norse sword features an unsharpened, double-edged blade. A wide fuller runs down the center of the tempered, full-tang blade.
The 9th-10th century sword continues with a short, curved crossguard. It curves towards the blade. Next, the hilt has a wooden grip. Brown leather wraps around the grip, creating slight ridges for a more secure grasp. Then, the hilt ends with a peened, lobed pommel. A peened pommel has a more durable construction. Both the guard and pommel are steel.
Finally, the Danelagh Viking Sword comes with a wooden scabbard. Brown leather covers the scabbard. On the side, the scabbard has a wooden loop for sliding it onto a belt, not included. A couple of ridges run down the length of the scabbard. This Viking sword is great for historical reenactments and weaponry collections.

Great sword for the price. Looks awesome. Solidly made. I love the wide blade at the base. I was going for that style. The scabbard is pretty nice and feels solid. The blade does rattle inside it when shook, but still a good scabbard. Would give it 5 stars, but there is a few slight wavy depressions along the blade, almost like hammer strokes too deep to grind out, or perhaps uneven grinding causing these imperfections (but for the price such imperfections are expected). Blade has a springy rebound to it, as it should. The pommel is slightly out alignment, but again, acceptable for the price. The sword is tip heavy, (which I expected, as most swords under $500 are) so the balace and weight are the biggest shortcoimg to me. The 4″ handle fits my size 10 hand (5’11 – 190lbs) but a hand any bigger would be pinched between cross guard and pommel. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase. It actually is far better than I expected. Wish it was sharpened, but I could not find that option when selecting the sword on the website. I will sharpen it myself. It is a really sweet looking solid blade. It looks great in my collection. I order the Norwegian Viking Sword after seeing how nice this one is.
