This is VERY high quality stuff. The fit and finish is great. It is quite adjustable. I am 6’2″ and 180lbs and it fits fine as it came. However it can be expanded for pretty much any adult. The armor is not too long so you can sit down without it jamming you in the neck, a problem that a lot of reproduction armor has is that it might look good while standing but sitting down does not work. With any usable armor you should be able to sit down without issue. The whole overall look is one of richness in detail and solidity or construction. And it works nice for my ranger kit.

This is a beautiful piece. I ordered it with the spaulders and it has a great visual effect, very Italian Renaissance style. I could see it working well for any type of nobleman or expert assassin type of character.

However, I would be mildly reluctant to properly call it armor. It’s more of a textured, multi-piece vest made of hard leather. This is almost certainly not for anything harder than moderate-contact LARPing. This is also one of its strengths, though- I wore it at a convention for a few days and it was comfortable, not too hot, and easy to put on and take off with no help. It’s also not excessively long, making it easy to wear with a sword belt.

The loops on the lower portion of the piece which are intended for the tassets can also be used to attach other things quite easily, which can be fun if you’re creative.

My only true qualm with the piece (and it’s very minor) is that the front portion of the armor is slightly tapered and comes down at a point. This, combined with the armor’s pliability from being thin and lightweight, can make it curl up a bit after sitting down or bending over. Not a huge issue for me and an easy fix, but good to know about.
