Made of natural, high-quality leather, the Albrecht Cuirass makes a statement with its detailed design and versatile style. Including both a breastplate and backplate attached with adjustable leather straps, wear this medieval armour for LARP and historical reenactments. The different segments of each plate are layered together and attached with metal grommets. With leather straps and buckles at the shoulder, the wearer can easily attach other pieces of armour to this leather cuirass, such as the Albrecht Spaulders (MY100249). Materials:
- Crafted from 7-8 oz. upper leather
Care Instructions:
- Remove dirt with a hard brush, then gently clean with leather soap and a soft, damp cloth. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth, then use a dry cloth to wipe away remaining water. Sturdy, medium-weight leather. Well cut, doesn’t restrict movement much. Comfortable for longer wear, but can still take a solid hit. My advice, find a squire, the side buckles work better with assistance.

It’s comfortable and feels very durable. My one and only issues is that a rivet popped off of it, in the back, while walking around my back yard getting a feel for it all. I ordered the matching spaulders and tassets too, and lost one rivet from each piece of armor.

Just got this in today in black! Firstly, it’s very well made especially for the price, its comfortable and feels very sturdy. Will say the leather is quite a bit stiff but will soften a bit with wear so be aware if you order this it will be a bit stiff but other then that it’s all gravy! I also will agree with the other reviewer Emily S. Get someone to help you do the straps on the sides. It is possible to strap them yourself if your flexible enough but it is difficult. I tried just doing the straps on the largest tightness and slipped the cuirass over my head and that worked out. Or have someone help put it on you and get it to where is comfortable and undo one side and remember how many belt holes to tighten to next time you wear it on that side.
Anyway enough rambling, love it! Well made! Very happy with my purchase!

Just got this in the mail today! It’s fantastically well made for the price. Doesn’t weigh much but it is a little stiff. I imagine that’ll fix itself in time though. Fits me perfectly with little adjustments. I’m 5′ 9” and 160 lbs.

For the price, you’re going to have a hard time beating this. It’s sturdy, looks great (especially after a bit of conditioning), and is rather comfortable. That being said, there are a couple of things that are good to know-
– The coloring of the armor will probably rub off onto whatever you’re wearing under it, especially if you end up sweating a bit. The tunic I was wearing under this had some black smudging around the neckline, shoulders, and waist from the cuirass but it came out in the wash.
– The cuirass itself isn’t super long, but will most likely ride up a bit when you sit down. Mine presses against the tops of my legs when sitting, which is no big deal but it pushes the shoulder straps up a couple of inches.
– The cuirass may not be super comfortable at first. Take some time to adjust it to your best fit, clean and condition it, and wear it for a while to let the leather mold to your body. It’s most likely been packed up for a while so it will take it a bit to “come back to life”.
– As a couple of reviewers have previously said, this is not an easy piece to put on by yourself. Save yourself a headache and get someone to help you with your straps!
