The 15th Century Pancera Steel Body Armour is a great way to provide additional protection to the lower torso when you are in combat. Made from 16 gauge mild steel, this battle-ready armour piece looks like a plackart. A plackart is a reinforcing plate that protects the lower half of a torso, usually over a breastplate. This piece of body armour secures onto the torso with a pair of straps in the back. They attach to leather sections on the sides of the armour. Rivets secure the leather sections to the front steel plate.
The top edge of the steel plate has two concave curves that form a point in the center. It has a ridge down the center of the plate. Along the bottom, the torso armor flares outward for a short section, resembling a fauld. Add the 15th Century Pancera Steel Body Armour to your ensemble for a historical reenactment. It works well with a variety of medieval and fantasy characters.
Please note that steel thickness may vary slightly due to the handcrafted methods used in the manufacture of this item.

I’m really glad I bought this to go over my brigandine for a more accurate 15th century look. This almost even works well with a 14th century breastplate I bought off a friend years ago. This is solidly built, but I feel like I could potentially bend it slightly for a better fit.
