Our leather Woodsman Cuisse protects the thigh and knee. We craft this armor from 13/15 oz. top quality leather. The knee is hardened and molded to fit the natural shape of your knee and provides great protection during battle. This armour attaches to your legs by straps and buckles and it also includes a strap and buckle on the top of the armor that will connect to your belt. The Cuisse (Thigh Armour) is available in black or brown. Please include measurement from groin to top of knee when placing your order. The Woodsman Cuisse are sold as a pair.

Care Instructions:

  • Remove dirt with a hard brush, then gently clean with leather soap and a soft, damp cloth. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth, then use a dry cloth to wipe away remaining water. Let dry naturally. Condition with oil or polish, then wipe with a final cloth to remove excess residue. For more information, check out our guide on How to Take Care of Leather Armour.

    I had to do some extra work to make these fit. You NEED to strap these to a belt or they will fall down. NEED. So measure from where you wear your belt and make sure it is tight enough to hold these up. I ended up attaching these to my breastplate with a d ring and a clip that i added on. I wear them tight at the thigh and loose behind the knee to get the most movement without alot of up and down movement on the Armour.

    These give the tops of my legs the perfect level of protection for LARP between the bottom of my brigandine and the tops of my greaves.
