If you are wanting to wear medieval clothing from the inside out, do not forget about undergarments like the Wolfram Cotton Breeches. Made from cotton, these medieval underpants come in two colors and five sizes. Based on medieval breeches, they feature a drawstring waistband. The waistband also has ties for attaching chausses. The breeches have a fly flap that secures with a tie on each side. There are more ties at the hem of the pants which ends near the knee. These cotton breeches are great for reenactments, roleplaying events, and more.

So issue up front, these seem to run small. I got a medium and while I can wear them they are “well fitting”. I will probably exchange them for a large just to make sure I have room to move and fight in them without worrying about possibly tearing them or them shrinking in the wash. As to the design and build quality, top notch on both parts. Love em as I was having a hard time finding some that looked historically accurate without being overly expensive. Also like the ties/loops built in to tie your hose too, no need for an extra belt just for your hose.

I ordered the XL Breeches which is the 46 inch waist and hip measurements. My current pants size is 44 snug or if I go for a 46 there’s a little bit of room to spare. When trying these on I did have to pull them up entirely which causes them to be a bit snug everywhere, but more so in between the legs. However, that shouldn’t be a problem for what I am doing with them so there is no issue here. This is just my experience and others may have a different experience. Other that that, the quality is nice, they look great and the fabric is comfortable.

These do run a tad small like others have said. I wear them at my hips and they seem to fit okay though. The stitching is good, however I had a very minor break I one of the loops after wearing hosen with them, other than this they’ve held up great.

I love mine, and have not as other users have stated found them to run small, but they definitely don’t run big. True to size or maybe just barely on the smaller side. what I did find was that the stitching was somewhat sub-par and needed reinforcement before I even got to try them on once. But once I reinforced the front ties they are outstanding. Comfortable, loose fitting where you need them to be, and breathable, even under a full day of wearing chausses and mail leggings.
