The canvas is neither too heavy, nor thin cotton, and makes for a very comfortable garment. I love the look and the way it hangs off the body. The shoulders have some padding (like an 80s suit jacket) that helps them hold their shape and does make your shoulders look good. The metal buttons add a nice touch as well.

Well made waistcoat. The canvas is sturdy without being bulky and it flows nicely. It’s a tad bit long on shorter people, but not to the point of looking like a cassock.

It’s a nice made vest for an affordable price. Great look and good thick material, but I feel their sizing is off. I’m a size 36 Chest with an athletic build, so I got the size Small with with its 38 chest. But it was pretty tight across the chest and the holes for the shoulders were pretty narrow and just didn’t look right in the mirror. I even wore it without a shirt on to see if it was just the bulk of the shirt making it tight, but no luck.
I ended up giving it to a friend of mine with a size 34 chest, and it fit him great and he looked awesome in it!
So I’d recommend sizing up, because these definitely run small. Being a 36 Chest, I probably would have to go for the size Medium with its 41 chest for it to fit properly

I also have the wool version of this vest. I was surprised by the quality compared to the cost. This is a very nice waistcoat with features I would expect to see in a more expensive item.
