Standard Leather Gorget

Our Standard Leather Gorget is crafted from heavy 13/15 oz. armor grade leather. This neck plate will provide protection to your collar bone and is also compatible with many pauldrons. At the top of the gorget, there are two sets of straps and buckles on each side. The outer set attach the front plate to the back plate. The inner set of straps and buckles allow the attachments of pauldrons, not included. You can choose how loosely you buckle the outer set for a perfect fit. The gorget has molded shoulders for a comfortable fit, the leather may need a little bending or breaking in to get it exactly the shape you desire, but this is a very easy step.

Care Instructions:
- Remove dirt with a hard brush, then gently clean with leather soap and a soft, damp cloth. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth, then use a dry cloth to wipe away remaining water. VERY thick leather. Definitely takes some breaking in to get the rear half to lay flat on your back, especially if you workout and have big traps. I used an orbital sander with 100 grit paper to give it that worn look, then applied leather conditioner to darken and soften it. Break in takes some grip strength. You’ll probably want to trim the straps once fitted too. I ordered the large because I have a barrel chest and thick neck, and had to tighten them all the way, probably would’ve been fine with the medium. I can put it on without undoing anything. I cheated and used zip ties to hang my pauldrons.
