Item is sized for 8-9 shoe; makes it a little big for me; 2 socks & a Dr. Scholls should help that.
Generous in ankle area makes it easy to get off & on.
Faux Distressed Leather is excellent; have to look at it very closely & fondle to know it’s not real leather.
The side lacing is OK, but I am replacing it with real leather thonging w/silver tail. Lot’s of room with the design to individualize the boot.
Reasonably priced.

Very well made boots. Though not completely authentic (it has rubber soles). It adequately passes for period footwear and more than makes up for any negatives in comfort. I wore these boots to a Renaissance Festival is 90+ degree weather. They were never uncomfortable.

I went to 3 Ren Fests in these boots so far & they look very cool & held up extremely well in the rain & mud. I waterproofed them for extra protection. However, they are really uncomfortable & require really good inserts. Even then, there seems to be a lot of extra room around the top of the foot. I wore double AND triple layered socks & my foot still slid to the front of the boot when walking down small hills. The outside of my big toe on each foot was killing me after 3-4 hours of walking around in them. The side lacing is more decorative than functional. They never really tighten up the boot any more than they already are when you first get them. My son also wore a pair of these same boots (one size bigger) & had the same problems with comfort. He tried mine on & his toes touched the front of the boot. So, a smaller size wouldn’t have solved our problems. They have a great appearance, but would not recommend them for anything beyond 1-2 hours of use.

Incredibly comfortable and a very nice fit on my big ol’ feet. There’s still a little bit of wiggle room which makes them incredibly easy to slip on and off which is always nice after a long day of walking in these big boys. And on top of that, they look absolutely gorgeous. Great purchase.

I have yet to wear my boots to a Festival but so far the seem to be fairly comfortable. They need a little extra padding under the foot and are a little roomy in the lower foot area. The upper calf are are a very snug fit on my leg but I do have rather muscular (X-Soccer, X-Hockey, Player) calves. I normal wear a 10.5 wide an I got the 10-11 boots. They look great I just hope they perform as well as they look. I know they will be better than my old ones, witch were almost like being barefoot. So I’m happy them so far.

I was shocked at how nice these are. I wish the sizing was better, I could either order a pair one size too small or one too big. I added a couple shoe pads to it and it fits much better. Probably adding a strap to better hold it to my feet… but these are warm and water proof. Stomping through puddled and snow with warm feet AND they look great
