Taking to the battlefield, you know that you are ready to fight the enemy this morn. The Shell Hilt Dagger hangs at your side. Made from carbon steel, this dagger has a double-edged blade. Based on a 16th century piece, the dagger continues with a crossguard. In the center of the crossguard, there is a shell guard that curves toward the blade. The arms of the crossguard are thick at the ends. The hilt continues with a wooden grip. Brass pins secure the wood in place. They form a zigzag pattern. The handle ends with a scent stopper-shaped brass pommel. Finally, this dagger comes with a leather belt sheath. Take this dagger with you to a historical reenactment or add the Shell Hilt Dagger to any medieval armoury.
This item is handmade, therefore, it may vary slightly from what is shown above.

Because this dagger had such a reasonable price, I automatically did not expect very much of it. but I was wrong again!
This Shell-Hilt-Dagger is very solidly constructed.
I usually dislike brass on weapons (swords, daggers, even armor): but this dagger looks very good with it’s brass shell crossguard and dark wooden handle (accented with brass pins forming a pattern in the wooden handle).
The dagger is a near-perfect size, and the blade shape is wicked and appealing.
The dagger has a nicely balanced feel, and fits the hand well.
The sheath is all-leather, and fits the dagger snugly.
A very good-looking dagger, all around: and it has a carbon steel double-edged blade.
This is at least the third time which I have purchased a lower-priced item here at Medieval Collectables not expecting anything very good; and at least the third time I have fooled myself, and was very pleasantly surprised to get a much better quality item than anticipated! Way to go, MC!!!
I give this Shell-Hilt Dagger a big 5-stars!
