The axe is the trademarked weapon of the Vikings, and it was widely used in Europe in combat and executions. The Runar LARP Battle Axe reproduces this weapon and places it in your hands, entrusting you with a steadfast battle companion. This LARP weapon is crafted from a specially designed latex-free, injection-molded foam with a strong fiberglass core. This core ensures extreme durability while keeping it safe for use in LARPing, theater, staged events, and more. The grey bit of this axe features an extended blade with a deep, thick beard. Its haft displays a wood-grain design, and the handle is wrapped in suede leather, making gripping comfortable and easy. For any Viking or medieval warrior in search of a polearm, the Runar LARP Battle Axe is certain to impress.
This LARP weapon is made without using latex but still benefits from periodic silicone treatments. As such, we recommend the use of our Maintenance Silicone for LARP weapons, as it will help prolong the life of the foam’s special coating. Also, this item is made through injection molding, therefore there is a small hole in the blade. This is not a defect. It is a sign of its construction.

This latex axe looks absolutely amazing and feels extremely durable. The detailing and build quality are top-notch, and it holds up very well to repeated use. That said, it is very heavy for a latex weapon. While it works great for stage combat or short, dramatic encounters, it becomes tiring fast during extended LARP play. After prolonged use, the weight really takes a toll on your arms and stamina. Overall, a fantastic visual and solid construction, but better suited for display, NPC use, or brief combat rather than long battles or all-day events v/r: David E.
