This medieval Morris set has a unique board. That board is actually a leather pouch that flattens out so you can place the Morris, also called Merels, crystals on it. The Merels crystal pieces are made of glass. When closed, this leather pouch has an adjustable strap at the top for sliding onto your belt. Underneath it, a leather tie cinches the bag shut over a riveted leather patch. There are 18 round game pieces in total, 9 blue ones and 9 clear ones.

When you open it and lay it out, the leather chess board showcases elegant knotwork details. Knotwork pieces form a segmented square around the Merels board. The Merels board has concentric squares adorned with quatrefoils where the Morris crystals are placed. On either side of the board is a stylized triquetra made of intricate knotwork.
