I’ve purchased 3 of these belts. I have a 37-inch waist & ordered a Medium in Brown even though I could have also ordered a Large according to the Size Chart. The belt was beautiful & flawless; however the wider belt did not overlap as it appears to in the photos. The two ends barely touched together. MC kindly allowed me to return it & added the length of the wider belt to the Size Chart to avoid anyone else running into the same issue. So, I reordered two more belts, one in each color, in Size Large. They fit perfectly! The Black one was beautiful & flawless. The Large Brown one came folded in a manner that was completely unlike the Medium in Brown & the Large in Black. Those were folded in half & sealed in a plastic bag from the factory. The Large in Brown was folded 3 or 4 times & placed in a different style of plastic bag. I also noticed that the Brown in Large had 3 big scratches on it & the lacing looked irregular compared to the other 2 belts. There were also 3 loose ends in the lacing & only 7 holes punched in the smaller belts where the Black in Large had nine. I can deal with holes & scratches, but I didn’t want the lacing to fall apart. I reached out to MC with photos. They said I could return it but did not believe the lacing would be a problem for me & that all of the belts they had on hand had similar lacing loose ends because they were handmade items. This was hard to accept considering I’ve already seen two belts with no loose ends at all. Everything was neat & tidy. I honestly believe the belt was previously sold & then returned which would explain the folding & the scratches. Maybe the loose ends, too. Those issues aside, the belt is fantastic. It’s really a beautiful piece of work (when it’s done well). Sturdy, rugged, attractive, & very functional. The back side is unfinished yet fairly smooth so you won’t have leather chaff & debris on your clothing. I would buy another one only if I were able to pick it out myself after a close inspection. Handmade or not, when you are spending this much money on a belt, you want to be sure you get a good one. It’s 5 stars for my Black one & 3.5 for the Brown. Both belts should have been the same, but were not.
