The perfect touch for knight and champion ensembles, the Large Steel Balthasar Spaulders are ready for the battlefield. The steel shoulder armour shows off a bright metal finish along with decorative rivets along the rims. The steel spaulders are crafted from seven individual parts to allow a very flexible range of movement, which is a critical trait when fighting. The LARP armour pairs well with our other Balthasar-style pieces. We recommend wearing these metal spaulders with a gambeson or other padded arming wear for increased comfort. We also offer a smaller version (MY100062). Please note that this item must be worn with a gorget.

Care Instructions:
- This armour will arrive to you covered in protective oil. While this oil can be removed, it must be replaced with another protective maintenance product to protect your steel armour from rusting. Occasional oiling is necessary for the proper maintenance of this armour. When storing this armour, protect it from oxidation by coating it with machine oil. Very good and flexible spaulders, you can fasten them to either arm armor or a gorget

An outstanding addition to the corresponding cuirass and arm protection. Our favorite aspect of these spaulders is their rather full coverage. We fence with some very heavy weapons including synthetic HEAM swords. There’s no way we’d go back to traditional HEMA gear after using these. They’re flexible and provide superior protection to everything else that we’ve tried.

Super cool looking set of spaulders. Easy to attach and pretty flexible too. Only bad thing with em is it’s definitely a bit hard to degrease them and wax them up haha, but that’s expected of something so flexible. Great product!
