Inspired by the clothing of medieval mercenary soldiers, the Joerg Landsknecht Doublet has a split color scheme and long, slashed sleeves. Integrated lacing creates the puffy, segmented sleeve style that sets this doublet apart, revealing an inner layer in a contrasting color. Each long sleeve is segmented three times along the arm before ending in a drawstring cuff. Five antique brass-colored buttons on the front of the doublet lead up to a mandarin collar. Made of 100% cotton canvas, this German mercenary doublet is available in a variety of colors and sizes. Perfect for recreating the look of a landsknecht, this medieval jacket is also great for nobility, merchants, and more.
For the Black with Red option, the inner sleeve colors are red and black.
For the Black with White option, the inner sleeve colors are white and black.

I purchased the white and black doublet. I ordered mine knowing that the item was back ordered with an estimated time back in stock of 2-4 months. I was pleasantly surprised when I got mine in just 2 weeks. The item is sturdy seems well built and the material itself though canvas seems soft enough to not chafe. The buttons all unbutton so if you have a large head like myself you can unbutton enough to get your head into the garment. The buttons are tight and don’t have a lot of movement in them which is great. The Ties for the arms are tricky by yourself so you may want a little help when butting it on. The only real complaint that I have is that the “white” cotton canvas is really undyed cotton which is still fine I was just expecting from the photos it to be more of a white color than just an off white color.

I purchase this in the red and green with yellow material in the slashes. The weight is good and all appears to be well constructed. It is a fairly soft canvas material and is roomy enough for a bigger man (52″ chest 6′ 1″). The ties at the wrists will need someone’s help to secure. You could tie them “close” and slide you hand in, but that allows the sleeves to move around a bit too much for my liking. The color shown in the individual pictures is the correct color. The picture of the model is far darker that the real garment.

I’m actually bigger than the measurements on the XXL but it still fits really well, not too tight not too baggy
Also, keeps the cold out! Very happy with this purchase

Its a nice “landsknecht” look but not historically correct. Together with the pant it gives you the look and with armor on it looks great. I just really wished they did the proper square cut for the neck/ shoulder area and the wrap ties, The material is light enough you wouldn’t sweat to death but it might get a bit warm. Overall I’m satisfied with it.
