Care Instructions:
- Remove dirt with a hard brush, then gently clean with leather soap and a soft, damp cloth. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth, then use a dry cloth to wipe away remaining water. Where do I begin? Firstly, of all the medieval clothing items that I have thus far purchased; this has to be one of, if not the most, handsome and cool-looking pieces of them all! Very, very, stylish and slick (in a very medieval way, of course). Very sharp! Well-constructed of top-grain leather and suede. The doublet and Jerkin are my favorite articles of men’s medieval clothing (and in this hybrid-case, leather armor). This real-bovine leather-armored jerkin is the epitome of medieval style. The six hardware buckles on it are sturdy, with rugged straps well riveted into place; and there is nothing loose or flimsily made. The dark-black suede is reinforced by geometric patches of dark-black leather which are sewn into place over most of the surface area of the jerkin to add rigidity and protection. The total effect is stunning and wickedly dashing. The leather craftmanship is top-notch. I was looking for leather armor that a Longbow-archer could feasibly use and wasn’t liking most of the brigand leather armor styles. Then I came across this leather-armored Jerkin and fell in love! I am very pleased with this item, and could not be happier with the quality, the fit, the smell of the leather, and the awesome devilishly handsome look! I give this amazing jerkin a full 5-stars: for quality and craftsmanship, functionality, price, but mostly for its wickedly medieval good looks!
