This Flint Striker Knife is two handy accessories in one. On one hand, it offers a forged blade that is quite useful around the camp for carving, cutting, and more. On the other, the all-metal design and grip allows it to double over as fire steel. Also known as a flint striker or a fire striker, fire steel is a piece of metal, used with flint (or chert or some other non-porous rock capable of holding an edge) to create sparks, and by extension, fire. The knife is made entirely from forged carbon steel and features a straight back and a dark, forged finish. The curved edge and fine point are more silvered, indicating a honed edge. The grip curves inward, losing some of the blades thickness, and eventually, the metal curves over, creating a partial hand-guard. Given its metallic make, virtually any section of this knife (save for the actual cutting edge) can be struck with flint to try and make sparks. Needless to say, as a camp knife, this Flint Striker Knife is fairly handy and infinitely useful, making it a must-have for any campers, medieval or not, who want to do things the old way.
