These licensed coins were made by the Noldorin Elves while under the rule of Celebrimbor, the great Elven-smith and forger of the Rings of Power. The coins take the shape of the holly leaf and are struck in varying metals to distinguish their denominations. The Fall Leaf in copper is the smallest denomination, followed by the Winter Leaf in silver, and then the golden Summer Leaf. The Spring Leaf in Mithril is the largest denomination, worth ten times as much as the golden Summer Leaf. There are inscriptions on the front and back of each coin. These coins are struck one at a time using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. A colorful description is included with history, translations, and facts about the coins.

As a long time fan of Tolkien, I have to say that these are a stunning interpretation of what elven coins would be. Beautiful, elegant, and exactly what an elf would mint. The price is very reasonable considering the metal value and weight of these coins. They come sealed (airtight), all four, in a plastic sleeve. Simply amazing!
