Coming in five colors and two sizes, this suede jerkin closes with three decorative straps and buckles from the waist up. It is open below the rounded strap detail. Without sleeves, the jerkin is ideal for layering and creating a fantasy costume. A LARPer or medieval reenactor would find this jacket versatile.

This jerkin is incredible. A quality item that was delivered very fast. I had to have one as soon as I laid eyes on it. The suede leather is really nice & the whole thing is well constructed to be durable & authentic in appearance. It looks, smells, & feels great. The sizing was accurate, in my opinion. My chest measures 42- 43 inches & the Small/Medium Jerkin fit comfortably. I feel it has room for a bulky shirt (or something similar to that) and you still have room to move without feeling like it’s too big. The armholes are roomy enough to help with putting it on & taking it off. The design makes it a good choice for a lot of medieval looks…from peasant to nobleman & everything in between. I liked it so much that I bought a second one. One thing to keep in mind when ordering, though, is the color of the Brown jerkins. I ordered my first one in “Brown”, and when it arrived, it was a VERY dark brown…almost black in low, or indoor, lighting. I had to take it outside into the sunlight to be sure it was Brown. I ordered the second one in “Light Brown” thinking it would be like what was pictured & because brown goes well with many other colors. (Plus, red & green were out of stock.) And, that one looked, to me, like the Brown jerkin on the website photo that the model is wearing. This wasn’t an issue for me. I’m still very pleased with what I received but thought others might want to know. This jerkin will be great for cooler weather festivals & I can’t wait to use it with my cloaks & hoods.
