The sole on these things is SOLID. It’s like a brick! Seriously, they are so much thicker than the picture would have you believe. This makes walking in them a bit tricky at first, but you get used to it. I have no complaints except that the leather ties will wear down. I snapped one the first time I put them on, which was very frustrating to say the least. It’s a pretty easy fix, but I’m annoyed that I have to fix them after only wearing them a handful of times. I like the look of them, I have received a ton of compliments.
