At one end, there is a mouthpiece. In the middle of the Viking horn, there are two sections of etching. One section has engraved knotwork borders with runes between them. The other has multiple vertical grooves. This horn makes a great reenactment prop or decor piece. Show off the War Horn in your home or office.

I can’t swear to it but it doesn’t feel like we’ll horn to me if it was more like plastic it’s not super loud and it is also kind of high pitched the war horn sold on this site is a much better product

I agree with the other comment that this doesn’t feel like horn and that it is higher pitched than you would expect. I bought it with said feedback in mind so I wanted to rate this higher because its exactly what I expected in that regard. However, the horn I was sent doesn’t have the metallic-looking section with “etched knotwork borders”, mine has a black/gray natural horn looking section with viking runes engraved in it, which doesn’t work great with my 14th century english kit 😐 I’ll just cover it up, not the end of the world, but just a warning to potential buyers. Otherwise, the horn is solidly made, looks good, loud enough for my purposes, and I don’t regret buying it- especially for $20.
