It looks exactly as pictured, inside & out. This is a great journal for your Ren Fest outfit. The leather is supple & the size is just about perfect. Not too big or small. The pages are antique colored but still look & feel like the regular white paper that is usually in these journals. Even the edges are cut clean & are neatly aligned. The vintage vibe is definitely there, though. I was a little skeptical about how well the leather strap would work for keeping the journal closed, but it does the job quite nicely. I would buy this again. Highly recommended.
