Turns out, even the gods of Asgard need a place to sit and watch over their kingdom every once in a while. Meet the Viking Odin’s Throne, the seat of power for Odin, king of the Aesir, and a stunning reminder of Norse mythology in your home.
Crafted for the King of Asgard
Made entirely from polyresin, this Viking throne is inspired by the legendary tales of Norse mythology. Every detail has been hand painted, showing off a stunning passion for artistry. The entire throne is painted with a dark brown finish, resembling wood carved to create the throne of the Allfather. This Viking fantasy throne is fully functional, meaning you can seat yourself in it like a true king or queen of Valhalla.
Starting with the back rest, the flat back of the chair, it’s intricately carved with symbols relevant to Odin, the Allfather of the Aesir. The face of Odin himself, clad in his winged helm, adorns the back rest with his classic eye patch. The wings, brow, and crest of the helmet are intricately detailed. Knotwork lines the brow and the crest of the helmet. Odin’s beard is braided and adorned with twisting knotwork.
On either side of Odin’s head, two ravens are intricately carved as the ears of this Viking Odin chair. These ravens represent Huginn and Muninn, the divine messengers of the Allfather’s will. In front of the ravens are two stylized wings framing the top rail of the chair. Underneath the ravens is more intricately carved knotwork for another layer of Norse style. The back rest has a tiered border framing Odin in all his glory with a concave opening and an upside down sunburst at the bottom. Two curling, stylized wings support the back rest, connecting it to the seat. Behind the back rest is a cross adorned with spinal knotwork. Like the back rest, the seat has intricately carved knotwork in the shape of a cross framed within a quatrefoil design. The borders on top and on the sides are carved with knotwork.
The arm rests are carved to look like the wolves of Asgard, Geri and Freki. Geri and Freki are Odin’s sacred servants in Norse mythology, accompanying him wherever he goes. The wolves have realistically carved ears, fur, and snouts. The front and rear legs are carved to look like wolf paws. Not only does this add support, it also adds style to the design. There are two spindles on the right and left sides of the Viking Allfather chair connecting the legs together for added support. These spindles have intricately carved spiraling knotwork for added style.
