Renaissance Princess Gown

(1 customer review)

The Renaissance Princess Gown is actually a very simple dress. Because it is made from high-quality baroque damask, however, it takes on a much grander appearance, one that is fit for both nobles and princesses alike. This dress features both gold and cream damask in its composition. The gold baroque damask makes up a majority of the dresses appearance, which features a subtle yet stunning pattern made of a variety of images, all carefully woven into the fabric of the dress. This brilliant patterning is broken up by a section of simple cream damask that decorates the front of the bodice and skirt. The dress features full-length sleeves of a unique design. The actual sleeves are full-length and fitted to the arm, while a layer of gold, patterned damask falls over the sleeve like a broad covering. The Renaissance Princess Gown fastens using laces at the front and back of the dress, so that it can be adjusted to fit your form. The dress above is also pictured with a petticoat to give the dress shape, although a petticoat is not included with the dress. The dress can be worn without, or if the flared-bottom shape is desired, a petticoat or hoop-skirt can be purchased separately to be worn under the dress. If you are looking for a deceptively simple yet visually complex dress to wear to your next medieval or renaissance event, then consider the Renaissance Princess Gown. You will not be disappointed in either the quality of the dress or in how well the dress looks on you.

This dress is very well made with perfect stitching. This dress took my breath away and pictures does not do any justice to capture the intricate beauty and details of the dress. Albeit, I would say that the color is more richer in gold than it does show in the picture. Because of the way the dress has been crafted from prestige materials, the dress is kind of heavy. I think in my honest opinion, it looks better without the petticoat, so none is needed. Trying this dress on felt like I was in a fairy tale, and it kind of reminds me of the scene from David Bowie starring in “The Labyrinth” when Sarah (played by Jennifer Connelly) Dances with the goblin king at the ball. The shipment arrived very quickly and promptly. I do not regret ordering from Medieval Collectibles.
