If you have a graveyard in your mini Halloween village, why not include a funeral home like the Puckett’s Funerarium by Department 56? Made from ceramic, this mini funeral home honors Richard Puckett, a former president of the National Council of Fifty-Six Clubs-a group of collectors of Department 56 figurines.
This striking building has grey, gothic walls, black detailing, and a purple roof. Above the front door, a sign reads RP Funerarium. A funerarium is another word for funeral home, and can work specifically with cremation. Multiple gothic windows adorn the sides of the building. Each side has its own tower or section jutting out. The many windows light up using a USB adapter.
Besides autumn leaves on the roof and grassy ground around the building, many details add to the realism of the spooky scene. Leaning against a wall in front is a shovel, ready for a gravedigger to grab. On the back of the funeral home, to the right of the back door, a small open door sits below a sign reading Cash & Carry Cremation Delivery. Skulls and urns adorn the upper areas of the building.
You can easily pair this piece with the You Can Take It With You! figurine (EN-6014661), another piece dedicated to the longtime collector, sold separately. This building figurine is great for any mini horror scene or holiday village. It also looks hauntingly wonderful all on its own for Halloween.
