This buckler is in fact 10 times better even that what I had imagined based on the images posted here on the website! I am absolutely overjoyed with it! The pictures here make it look more “flat” I suppose, but the real buckler has a very pronounced boss. It has of course a rim around the edge to catch your opponent’s sword or spear tip. This buckler is quite indestructible it seems! It is bigger than I expected too, which is fantastic! I am thrilled! This is an ideal buckler for historical fencing! Do not hesitate to buy this! It is absolutely fantastic! It seems 100% historically accurate according to museum pieces! I absolutely love it!

A fantastic shield! And just like the last review I am surprise by the actual size of the shield. Its perfect for close quarter stage combat and is really sturdy so you don’t need to worry about dents as much. Its great for historical and fantasy battles. The only thing I would watch out for is that its six pounds and you will hurt someone who is not wearing any armor.
