It looks exactly as pictured, inside & out. Mine is a darker brown leather than pictured, but I like that better anyway. This is a great journal for your Ren Fest outfit. The leather is supple & the size is just about perfect. Not too big or small. The rough cut front cover & the light colored stitches make this journal extra special. I don’t see too many journals that have a contrasting color in their stitches. Even the edges of the white paper are cut clean & are neatly aligned. I was a little skeptical about how well the leather strap would work for keeping the journal closed, but it does the job nicely. I would buy this again. Highly recommended.
